Grace Huang, DMD, MMSc

Dr. Grace Huang of Advance Orthodontics

Grace Huang grew up in Andover, a small town just north of Boston. She attended the University of Pennsylvania as a part of the accelerated 7-year Bio-Dental program. At Penn Dental Medicine, Dr. Huang graduated first in her class and was inducted into both the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and the Matthew Cryer Honor Society. She returned to Boston to complete her orthodontic training and Master of Medical Science at Harvard University, where she became the first Harvard resident to win the Eugene L. Gottlieb Journal of Clinical Orthodontics Student of the Year Award.

After getting married, Dr. Huang relocated to Houston to join her husband, and she is excited to contribute to the vibrant Houston community.

Dr. Huang’s approach to patient care is rooted in her commitment to clinical excellence and evidence-based orthodontic research. Throughout her career, she has been recognized with dozens of distinguished academic, research, clinical, and service awards and has presented her work at the field’s premier national and international conferences. Dr. Huang is also passionate about education and currently serves as the Predoctoral Orthodontics Director at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Dentistry, and holds the W. Bonham Magness, DDS Endowed Professorship in Orthodontics.

In her free time, she enjoys attending Rice events with her husband, exploring Houston’s food scene, and dancing and singing karaoke with her nephews and niece!
